Gemini personality

Gemini begins at Grain Buds, 60° of solar longitude. The West calls it an air sign; in BaZi terms it is the Monkey branch that opens the waterways. Like the wind you move everywhere, linking people and news, and like a monkey you are handy and quick-witted. Juggling two or three things at once feels natural.

Gemini in love

You fall for people who are fun to talk to. You like a relationship where the messages never stop, but you can come across as light, so be serious when it counts.

Gemini at work

Journalism, marketing, teaching, interpreting and sales suit you: work built on words and information. Repetitive tasks bore you quickly.

What Gemini should watch

With so much started, finishing can slip. The Monkey branch never sits still, so set aside time each day to cut your list down.

Gemini: Day Pillars sitting on 申 (Monkey) (5)

The day branch is the same branch this sign is paired with, so both traditions point to the same animal.

Gemini: Day Pillars in the same Three Harmony (10)

The day branch belongs to the same Three Harmony as Gemini: Water frame 申子辰 (Monkey, Rat, Dragon). They face the same direction.

Gemini: Day Pillars in Six Harmony (5)

The day branch forms a Six Harmony with 申. Each fills in what the other lacks.

Gemini: Day Pillars in Clash (5)

The day branch clashes with 申, sitting directly opposite it. Outer style and inner pace pull in different directions.

Find my sign and Day Pillar

Your sign is set by the 30° stretch of ecliptic longitude the Sun was crossing at your birth. The cusps (the mid-month solar terms such as the spring equinox) shift by about a day from year to year, so if you were born on a cusp day, add your birth time too. The sign-to-branch pairing follows the names in the traditional Chinese table of twelve stations, whose boundaries sit about 15° off the Western signs. Read it for fun.
